In the sophisticated city of Melbourne, enjoy fine cuisine aboard a colonial tramcar and experience a safari through wildlife sanctuary to see wild kangaroos, koala, native birds, and other unique animals. In Auckland, New Zealand walk through the War Memorial Museum and cruise the harbor of the “City of Sails”. In Fiji, see views of Nadi Bay from Vudu Lookout and relax in a Fijian Bure with a tropical fruit juice.  
 
 

Day 1, July 14, Sunday - Los Angeles/Sydney

Cross International Dateline.

Day 3, July 16, Tuesday - Sydney
Arrive in Sydney and transfer to your hotel. (The Grace Hotel)

Day 4, July 17, Wednesday - Sydney
After breakfast, visit Sydney’s sights and famous beaches. Drive through the city centre and see the contrasts from the traditional Victorian architecture of the Town Hall and the Queen Victoria Building, which is worth an interior visit, to the modern skyscrapers of the business district; from the sweeping design of the Opera House to the modern developments of Darling Harbor. Drive through the Botanic Garden to Lady Macquarie’s Chair for views of the harbor, as well as the Opera House and bridge. Then head to the exclusive eastern suburbs, passing Kings Cross en route to Vaucluse and Double Bay. Continue to the Heads, famous Bondi Beach and historic Paddington with its iron railed town houses, arriving at King Street Wharf for the lunch cruise. Depart from the King Street Wharf with Magistic Cruises for a magical and spectacular Sydney harbor cruise. The Magistic Cruises vessel has an exceptional nautical design, superior service and fine catering. It is the sightseeing cruise of choice for something above the ordinary. Day 6, July 19, Friday - Sydney/Melbourne
Fly to Melbourne and transfer to your hotel. In the evening, travel to Tram Stop 125 for a three course dinner, including selected beverages and coffee or tea aboard the Colonial Tramcar Restaurant. Dine aboard this converted 1927 tram for a fabulous experience. These glossy, burgundy restaurants on wheels are the first traveling tramcar restaurants in the world and they ensure a delightful and innovative approach to dining. As they cruise the scenic streets of Melbourne, diners can enjoy fine cuisine and drink the very best Australian wines or make a selection from the fully stocked bar at a fully inclusive price. The atmosphere is cozy, the service friendly and the décor as inviting as the colonial period the trams reflect. The Colonial Tramcar Restaurant officially commenced operation in August 1983 and has become a star attraction and tourist symbol for the city of Melbourne. Dining aboard Colonial Tramcar Restaurant is not only a colonial delight, but a trip into a little piece of Victoria’s history. After dinner, travel back to the hotel. Day 7, July 20, Saturday - Melbourne
After breakfast travel by Echidna Walkabout to Serendip Open Range Sanctuary, to immediately be amongst wild kangaroos and native birds. After a short walk to meet the kangaroos, begin a special Safari Drive around the Sanctuary to see emus and huge wild mobs of kangaroos. Stop often to enjoy the animals and disembark for short walks to the lake to experience waterbirds and through the gum trees. Before lunch, visit a protected population of wallabies and get close to some of the strange Australian birds. Enjoy a picnic-lunch of fruit and cakes, coffee and delicious Australian “Billy tea” served in an open-air setting at the Sanctuary. The guide explains the history and recipe for the traditional tea of the Swagmen. Leaving Serendip, travel to the bushland of Brisbane Ranges National Park. The park is home to a large, healthy population of wild Koalas, monitored for best possible sightings. Take an easy walk through gum trees in search of koalas, wallabies, kangaroos, and birds in their natural setting. Your guide points out plants and features of interest and explain some of the history of the area and introduce koalas that are part of the research project. The area is greatly significant to the Aboriginal People of the Wathaurong Tribe. Freshwater lakes and billabongs provide a rich food source for them and some signs of their occupation still remain. Day 8, July 21, Sunday - Melbourne/Auckland
After breakfast, transfer to Sydney International airport for your flight to New Zealand’s largest metropolitan city, Auckland. Upon arrival, transfer to your hotel. After settling in, enjoy a 3 course fresh seafood and meat dinner at local restaurant, harbor side for a taste of New Zealand. (Rendezvous Hotel) (B/D)

 

Day 9, July 22, Monday - Auckland
In the morning, experience a sight seeing tour of the “City of Sails.” Almost an island between two magnificent harbors, the Waitemata and the Manakau, Auckland is a maritime playground extending to the beautiful islands of the Hauraki Gulf. Fourteen extinct volcanoes that rise from the isthmus are outstanding features of Auckland and their summits command panoramic views. On this morning tour, visit the Auckland War Memorial Museum, set in the parklands of Auckland Domain. The museum contains one of the country’s most comprehensive collections. The Maori Court is of particular interest with its carved meting house and 25 meter war canoe. Also explore Mt. Eden, one of Auckland’s volcanic cones, for breathtaking panoramic views of the city. Then, board a boat and cruise the sparkling waters of Auckland’s beautiful Waitemata Harbour. The cruise includes a brief stopover at volcanic Rangitoto Island and experience its unique volcanic terrain firsthand. Highlights include views of the Harbor Bridge, the city skyline, Devonport’s historic naval base, Bean Rock Lighthouse and panoramic views of Rangitoto Island. The crew serves you with morning or afternoon tea (a hot drink and a muffin). (B)

Day 10, July 23, Tuesday - Auckland
Use today to explore the city at your leisure. Try the Sky Jump at Sky Tower, a cable controlled base jump from a height of 192m or walk around the walkway without rails with the Sky Walk. Visit the beautiful Waitakere Ranges with impressive waterfalls and rugged and beautiful beaches. Or have a picnic on the beach and swim the waters.

 

 
 

Day 11, July 24, Wednesday - Auckland/Fiji
After breakfast, transfer to the airport for your flight to Fiji and transfer to your hotel on the white sandy beaches of Coral Coast. (Fiji Warwick Resort) (B)

Day 12, July 25, Thursday - Fiji
After breakfast, venture into Nadi’s scenic heartland, through the beautiful Sabeto Valley to the garden of the Sleeping Giant, housing the largest and most varied orchid collection in Fiji. Then travel to Viseisei Village, the legendary landing site of the first Fijians. You are guided through the village and the handicraft displays. See a 360 degree bird’s eye view of the West’s mountain ranges, Nadi Bay, Nadi International Airport and the beautiful Yasawa Group of Islands from the Vuda Lookout. Relax in a Fijian Bure and enjoy a tropical fruit juice and seasonal fruits from the orchard. Use the afternoon to explore the island and enjoy the amenities of the Warwick. Engage in one of the many water activities or sunbathe on the beautiful sandy beaches. Experience an evening Cocktail Cruise from Nadi, where you can see the spectacular views of Nadi Bay, as you enjoy cocktails, canapés, and live entertainment. (B)

 

Day 13, July 26, Friday - Fiji
Discover Fiji at your leisure today with a walk along the beach and embrace the beauty of the island by sunbathing on Fiji’s beautiful sandy beaches. Have fun with the many water activities like kayaking, snorkeling, and fishing or pamper yourself at the spa. Experience the flavor of the nightly themed buffets at the Warwick and watch the sunset from the balcony of your room. (B)

Day 14, july 27, Sunday - Fiji/Los Angeles
